We are proud to present Shakespeare and the Language that Shaped a World, by Kevin G. Coleman. The play is a whirlwind tour through the life, times, and works of William Shakespeare, led by nine actors equipped with nine stools, a couple of broadswords, a bit of historical information and scenes from many of his greatest plays. This energetic, fast-paced peek into Shakespeare’s world and Elizabethan life was created by Kevin G. Coleman, Director of Education at Shakespeare & Company. It is a fun, accessible introduction to Shakespeare with enough depth to please those who have already studied his works.
Mainstage Production at Quimby Park & Sandwich Town Hall Theatre

We are pleased to present William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. The play is a commentary on the trifecta of power, sex, and morality, the play centers around the fate of two lovers, a pious sister forced into a difficult situation, a moralistic leader who does not walk the talk he preaches, and a Duke in disguise. There is also mischief afoot as the townspeople and commoners deal with life in their own, rather hilarious, ways. Trickery abounds, and hard issues are tackled in this lesser-known of Shakespeare’s comedies that will both make you laugh and make you think.
