Opera fan? After you catch our production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth this weekend, consider attending a showing of a filmed performance of Verdi’s operatic adaptation, at the Arts Center at 12 Main, Wednesday, March 29th, 6:30pm. Details.
Since 1606 William Shakespeare’s tragedy of political ambition gone disastrously wrong has proved relevant to each successive generation. What reward is worth committing the darkest of deeds & endangering one’s own humanity?
This production will explore this question while giving free reign to the magical & terrible elements of the most famous supernatural play in the English language. Our stripped-down, minimalist aesthetic will bring the powerful language to the fore, and allow the true magic of theatre to transport you into the play, without the necessity for illusion.
This production will run approximately 90 minutes with a 15 minute intermission. Refreshments will be made available for a donation.
March 24-26, March 31, April 1-2 at the Sandwich Town Hall Theatre 8 Maple Street, Center Sandwich NH
