In 2011 our friend and supporter, the late Bradley Ball, left us a generous bequest in his will. We are using it to seed this campaign and begin an endowment. This three-year campaign begins now, in 2014, and continues through 2016, the year of world-wide celebrations of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
The purpose of the campaign is to raise money for specific goals, as well as raising awareness of how Advice To The Players creates magic in this community for people of all ages. The Campaign financial goal is $150,000 over three years; we have targeted three specific areas for growth. Our greater goal is to keep Advice To The Players alive and thriving into the future.
The Endowment, with a goal $100,000
An endowment is a way for us to create basic sustainability, through guaranteeing a certain amount of yearly income. The income from the endowment will support our operating expenses. Future fundraising efforts, including legacy giving, will help increase the endowment.
The Colleen McDermott Education Fund: goal $25,000
This fund will start by providing support for a part-time Education Director who will connect with schools, teachers, and students to make them aware of our productions, programs and other offerings. Having someone dedicated to this outreach will increase participation and make new programs easier to establish.
Program Initiatives goal: $25,000
New and revitalized program initiatives will contribute to fulfilling our mission, to our financial stability, and to community involvement, awareness and responsiveness.
More information is coming soon, about where and how you can give.
