ANNUAL APPEAL
As our 24th season comes to a close, we are grateful for the many ways we love and feel loved in our community. In 2023, you helped us expand our reach with the New Hampshire Shakespeare Festival in our region; establish new partnerships with Mead Base and Castle in the Clouds; and produce three shows: The War of the Roses Part I: She Wolves and Queens, the deeply moving one-person show An Iliad, and the highly successful fall education tour of Much Ado About Nothing.
In addition, we welcomed youth of all ages back for another year of Shakespearience Camp, began delivering co-curricular theater programs for Inter-Lakes School District, and sponsored intensive professional Shakespeare training for company members. Thanks to your support, our productions and education programs have continued to exceed what’s expected of a small, rural company.
As we look ahead to our 25th anniversary, we have big plans which need strong financial support from our community. During Old Home Week in August, we will continue the story of the Yorks and Lancasters in The War of the Roses Part II, Curses and Queens. Our fall production, The Tempest, will again be performed in area schools, with public performances at a new and exciting venue. Next September, we plan to celebrate our anniversary with a gala celebration worthy of the enduring natural beauty that abounds in our community. We hope you will join us.
We know that our effect on the students, artists, and audiences we touch every year will never be removed, and we trust that you’ll always show up for us in return, via donations, word of mouth, and attendance at our shows and events. Your continued support of ATTP is of utmost importance to our sustainability, especially for our 25th anniversary season, and we look forward to hearing from you.
With Warmth and Gratitude,
Martha Nichols and Lucy Randall-Tapply
Co-Chairs of the ATTP Board
